We believe in the power of education, community, and generosity — values Dr. Yoko Caryl Suzuki lived by every single day.

Dr. Suzuki devoted more than 50 years of her life to education, inspiring and mentoring thousands of students, teachers, and administrators throughout her distinguished career. She served as the principal of Southwest Behavior Junior/Senior High School from 2003 until her retirement in 2016, where she was widely recognized for her compassionate leadership, unwavering commitment to students, and dedication to educational excellence. Her lifelong service left an enduring impact on the Clark County School District and the Las Vegas community.

In addition to her remarkable career in education, Dr. Suzuki made lasting contributions to our community through her leadership and vision. Following the passing of William "Bill" Endow in 1998, she proposed to the Asian Chamber of Commerce that a scholarship foundation be established in his memory. For nearly three decades, the scholarship program has continued under the administration of the Asian Chamber of Commerce Foundation. With the dedicated leadership of Dr. Caryl Suzuki and her husband, Roy Suzuki, the scholarship program has awarded more than $600,000 to students pursuing their educational dreams. She believed deeply that education was the greatest gift one generation could offer the next.

Dr. Suzuki's legacy extends far beyond the classroom. She was an educator, mentor, community leader, and champion for young people. Her commitment to education, student success, and community service has enriched countless lives and strengthened Clark County for generations.

The Yoko Caryl Suzuki Memorial Foundation carries forward that belief, supporting grants to qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organizations that reflect the values she embodied: service, generosity, and a commitment to community.
